Hi! I'm Lauren Furniss (Elisa is my middle name), wife to my loving husband, mom to my two cuties, and when I'm not playing homemaker, I'm a personal stylist! Here's a little more about my background...
I was born and raised in Jackson, Mississippi. While attending Mississippi State University, I received a Fine Arts degree with an emphasis in Graphic Design. This is also where I met my Love. After college I moved to Los Angeles, California, got married, and had my son. While pregnant with my daughter, we made the move to Lewisville, Texas and have never looked back!
I've always had a love for fashion and design. For almost 40 years, my mom has owned the Fashion Post, a ladies' clothing boutique in Jackson, Mississippi. I have been in and around the store my whole life. From playing in cardboard boxes in front of the three-way mirror as a baby, to working in the store as a teen and college student, I now accompany my mom on her buying trips to the Dallas Apparel Mart several times a year. It's a great way to stay on top of the current and upcoming trends and discover new designers and clothing lines.
So, why become a personal stylist?
As you can see from my picture, I am not a size 2...nor have I ever been. But what I am is very confident in myself and how I dress. Does this mean I don't want to change anything about myself? Of course not! Growing up with my mom and being around her store, I learned how to dress for my body type and how to help others dress for theirs. I learned ways to accentuate the positive and downplay the not so positive.
I would love to help YOU find your fashion confidence and help you discover a wardrobe you LOVE!
